Despite his Spanish-sounding name, David is a true Béarnais, born at the foot of the Pyrenees. From an early age, he was captivated by these mountains, which he admired every morning on his way to school. His passion naturally led him to turn the Pyrenees into his profession—first as a mountain guide, then as a trip designer and manager for a renowned Pyrenean trekking agency.

After nearly 25 years of experience, he founded So’Inspyration in early 2024 (short for "Sud-Ouest Inspyration"…). Given his deep love for the Southwest of France, his passion for the Pyrenees, and his boundless curiosity for Spain, this step was inevitable.

You might hear his voice on the phone when planning your trip, but if he gets the chance to guide you in person, he will do so with great enthusiasm and a friendly spirit. He loves sharing hidden gems he has discovered over the years. With a background in agriculture and local food production, he is also passionate about showcasing the work of farmers, artisans, and producers, whose dedication shapes the richness of our rural landscapes.

A wine enthusiast, gourmet, and sports lover—he believes that one doesn’t exclude the other! This philosophy is at the heart of So’Inspyration: a perfect balance of flavors, discovery, and well-being.

In 2019, he published a beautiful book with Glénat Editions, The Most Beautiful Treks in the Pyrenees—a goldmine of insights for anyone wanting to explore the massif.
